Hello There!

I apologize, I know it has been a long time. I moved from Austin, Texas to Washington state back in May of 2016. I am not shooting professionally anymore, so I have decided to make this more a blog from me, rather than about my prior business. I still take lots of photos, so you can count on them being very present in my blog, they will just be more nature or urban photos. Right now in Olympia, we have had quite a wet and chilly Spring. The Cherry Trees bloomed at the Capitol building downtown and the Daffodil and Tulips are now blooming. I love Spring but, I would also really appreciate some more sunshine and warmer weather. I do miss Texas in the Spring but, not Cedar Fever or the other allergens. During the day, I work at my full-time job, telecommuting back to Austin. Making the most of the rain

It is a wonderful misty day down on the Kenai Peninsula. I decided that since it is too yucky to visit Homer and Seward, then I would make the most of the rain and play with my new Nikon 105mm Macro lens. I love taking photos of the water droplets and this lens did not let me down. I used my 600 flash and a tripod and just set out to photograph the water droplets available in the yard. Chelsea and I roamed about the yard experimenting with the lens, flash and tri-pod and I hope you enjoy the results. Only a few more days until we get on the plane out of Alaska. The Tahoe was shipped out today on it's way to Tacoma. The weather in Seattle is reported to be lovely and warm and I am so looking forward to seeing the sun and feeling some heat. A headshot can tell a lot about a person. Let a professional headshot really show who you are. I am an on-location photographer which means I come to the location of your choice and photograph you either inside or outside showcasing who you are. Headshots are for everyone, not just corporate or real estate professionals. If you have a Facebook page, Linked-in profile or any other social networking site, you need a professional headshot. Here are a few tips. How to Choose What to Wear for Headshots *Wear a top that is a solid color. Prints and patterns do not photograph nearly as well, and may take away from the focal point of the headshot--your face. Choose a color that compliments your skin tone and wear a top with a very simple style. Don't wear brightly colored ties or a busy print jacket. Bring several choices of tops with you to the photo shoot. This will give you options. Sometimes, what looks good in person does not look as good in a photo and vice versa. Th
